Interior UHF Radio Mount for Ford Ranger

Ford Ranger Interior UHF Mount

To mount the radio heads, I found this cool mount from Out There N Back which is mainly for a UHF CB microphone or a phone mount. Its a really hand dash mount for Ford Ranger PX2 and PX3. It was perfect for my radio head mounts with a few small bolts through the holes.

This mount can also be used for phones as well as UHF radio Mic Holders.

Where do you mount UHF in Ranger?

I mounted my radios underneath the front passenger seat. It was easy access and has benefits.
  • Easy access to power
  • Easy access to the antenna - The shorter the antenna run, the better
  • Easy access to the radio itself should you need to adjust something
  • Easy cable runs through to the drivers seat via the centre console plastics
For cable management through to the drivers side, all the cables can come in from behind through the small gap at the back behind the centre console and you can tuck cables underneath the plastic.
